Nilukshi Fernando stepped into the acting career because she went to see how her favourite actress Wasanthi Chathurani auditioned for a character and by chance she got an opportunity to narrate the younger version of wasanthi. Nilukshi is married
to a famous photographer and is a mother of a baby girl. Nilu says that her husband never forces anyone to get her inro acting or a tele, in fact he never even bothers to tell anybody that his wife is an actress.
