Novice actor and singer Mario Ananda the son of a veteran singer Greshan Ananda, shared his thoughts about his late father in the Ridma newspaper. He said that his father was a great man, a good great man, but the only weakness he had was alcoholism, and that ruined his life. In hos final days he got separated from his family and started living alone,
but Mario became closer to him. Finally he was left alone with only his family, not a single was by him in his last moments. After his death the family had to fall into the streets and its Gamini Fonseka’s daughter Chamila Fonseka who helped them get back into their feet, by giving them a house that in which they are residing at the moment. His dream is to somehow build a house of their own.
